Menninger 360 Perinatal Services

Pregnancy and the months following childbirth are usually exciting times for women and their partners, but sometimes mental health challenges like depression, anxiety, and other issues arise during this time as well.

Complicating this situation are the hurdles that many expectant and new parents contend with, including access to treatment, reliable childcare and transportation, job conflicts and stigma surrounding mental health treatment.

That's why Menninger 360's Perinatal Services are an ideal alternative to traditional, office-based care. The Menninger 360 team is specially trained to treat the unique issues faced by expectant and new parents, all in the comfort of their own home. In fact, we're the first service in Greater Houston to offer wraparound home-based perinatal mental health care provided by an interdisciplinary treatment team.

Focusing on the needs and goals of the parent(s), the team offers these perinatal mental health services:

• Individual and family therapy
• Medication management
• Support with activities of daily living
• Case management and care navigation
• Mental health education 
• Therapeutic community outings
• Nutritional support
• Body image support
• Real-world, side-by-side coaching
• Substance use counseling when needed

The Menninger 360 team includes a psychiatrist, psychiatric nurse, dietitian, licensed clinicians, and peer recovery specialists who are on call for emergencies after hours and on weekends. The length of treatment is customized based on each client’s needs.

Menninger 360's home health license allows the team to provide in-home and community support within Harris, Fort Bend, and Montgomery counties.
