Center for Brain Stimulation
Are you battling treatment-resistant depression? Sometimes, therapies that stimulate the brain can successfully treat it and other psychiatric issues, too.
When you come to our Center for Brain Stimulation, you’ll have treatment choices that include:
- Rapid Targeted TMS
- Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and
- Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT),
- Ketamine therapy.
These treatment options are available to both inpatients and outpatients.
Consultations
We also welcome referrals from outpatient providers - whether a medical or mental health professional.
The first thing I, and others, noticed was the laughter. Even before I had finished all the treatments, I was laughing again. Sometimes a lot. I don't remember the last time I laughed before ECT.

Center Leader
Neil Puri, MD, is the medical director of our Center for Brain Stimulation. He is also the medical director of Menninger 360, one of our community integration programs.
Board certified in psychiatry, Dr. Puri earned both his bachelor's degree and medical degree from Northwestern University in Chicago. He completed a residency in psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh and a fellowship at George Washington University in Washington, DC.
Dr. Puri communicates with referring professionals about the patient's psychiatric and medical history and the number of treatments recommended. All treatments take place at Menninger.
