Mental health professionals are invited to participate in a free virtual webinar, Understanding the Lived Experience of Suicide-Attempt Survivors: A Phenomenological Study, which will be presented by Pam Greene, PhD, RN, NEC-BC, on September 27 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. CT.
Dr. Greene is a former Chief Nursing Officer at Menninger and currently serves on its board of directors.
Suicide attempts are one of the strongest independent risk factors for suicide death. Of those who attempt suicide, not all will make another attempt. Without diminishing the serious risk for suicide associated with suicide attempts, it is important to gain a better understanding of the process for achieving well-being after nonfatal suicide attempts.
