Registration Opens for Free Webinar on Bipolar Disorder Treatment
The Menninger Clinic is pleased to present a free webinar, Psychodynamic Considerations in the Treatment of Bipolar Disorder, for mental health professionals October 1. Continuing education will be available.
About the Webinar
Webinar presenter Stuart Weir, PsyD, will provide an overview of the history of how psychoanalysis has conceptualized bipolar disorder, and how it has had to reckon with emerging biological research. He will explain how the research indicates personality disorder symptoms are negative prognostic indicators of BP, and how a more thorough understanding of personality structure might inform interventions that are not considered through a more behavioral and supportive lens alone.
Dr. Weir will also help participants better understand how psychodynamic formulation for bipolar disorder can assist with treatment planning and intervention.
