The Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) population is the fastest growing racial group in the United States but has the lowest rates of mental health utilization compared to every other racial group.
The purpose of this May 21 webinar is to educate clinicians on what prevents AAPI individuals from receiving mental health treatment and how cultural values play a part in treatment. The presenters will also discuss the effectiveness of Western therapeutic treatment models in the AAPI community and provide recommendations for developing culturally competent therapy with the AAPI community in mind.
Rose Yang, PsyD, Led Camille Soriano, MS, and Tiffany Tran, BS, will be the presenters.
This webinar will be presented via Zoom, and there is no cost to participate. The presentation will begin at 12 pm and end at 1 pm CT.
