Menninger to Host, Co-sponsor HPS Lecture and Workshop on Personality Dynamics
The Menninger Clinic is pleased to host and co-sponsor the Houston Psychoanalytic Society's (HPS) event Personality Dynamics in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy: A Roadmap to Change on Saturday, September 14.
The event, which will feature Jonathan Shedler, PhD, as the presenter, includes a lecture followed by a workshop with clinical case presentations.
About the Presenter
An internationally renowned author, researcher, clinician and teacher, Dr. Shedler won worldwide acclaim for his article, The Efficacy of Psychdynamic Psychotherapy, which firmly established psychoanalytic therapy as an evidence-based treatment. He is a leading expert on personality styles and disorders and their treatment.
Dr. Shedler leads professional workshops nationally and internationally and consults with clinicians, organizations and U.S. and international governmental agencies.
Event and Registration Details
The day's schedule is:
- 8:30 am – Networking and breakfast
- 9 am to 12 pm – Lunch (provided)
- 1 to 4 pm – Workshop and clinical case presentations

The cost of the event is $150 for active members of the Houston Psychoanalytic Society and $200 for friend members of the HPS. For non-members, the cost is $250 and for student members the cost is $50.
Continuing education will be available.
