In a nationwide survey, psychiatrists again selected The Menninger Clinic as a top psychiatric hospital, increasing its position one spot to No. 8 on U.S. News & World Report’s annual Best Hospitals list. Menninger has ranked among the top 10 national psychiatry leaders by U.S. News & World Report for over 30 years.

In psychiatry, the U.S. News & World Report’s rankings recognize the best hospitals for patients experiencing complex disorders using the most recent three years of survey results (2019 to 2021) from physicians nationwide who are board certified in psychiatry.

“Our specialty is precision mental health and substance use care,” said President and CEO of The Menninger Clinic, Armando Colombo. “Patients seeking care from The Menninger Clinic are looking for the best diagnostics and effective evidence-based treatment that’s right for their goals and symptoms.”

Four of every 10 patients coming to Menninger are Texans, with the remainder coming from coast to coast.

“We have a wide range of specialists who provide new solutions as well as proven, cutting-edge treatments for a positive outcome that the patient can sustain to enjoy improved overall health and a better life,” Colombo added.

Adults and adolescents have more treatment options, ranging from in-home, telehealth and in-the-community treatment to crisis stabilization and specialty hospital programs that offer more structure and safety when needed. This allows each patient to get the help to fit their needs. Diagnostic services for complex conditions are provided by comprehensive assessments on an inpatient or outpatient basis.
