Join The Menninger Clinic Foundation in spreading mental health awareness and raising critical funds to create a more hopeful future for adults and children in our communities, this Giving Tuesday – November 29.
Held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving that empowers individuals and communities to give back to causes and organizations they believe in. The support of our generous community of donors means more than ever this holiday season, when so many people are struggling with their mental health.
Each year in the United States, nearly 1 in 5 adults and children will experience a mental illness, with fewer than half receiving treatment. The COVID-19 pandemic and the uncertainty of our times have only deepened our current mental health crisis. Growing numbers of teens and adults are experiencing anxiety and depression, while suicide remains a leading cause of death.
“The need for skilled and compassionate mental health care is critical,” said Stephanie Cunningham, MBA, vice president of business development and philanthropy. “Through the generous support of our donor community, and events like Giving Tuesday, Menninger is able to rise to the occasion and advance mental health locally and across the nation.”
While #GivingTuesday only comes once a year, your support is appreciated year-round. Donations to The Menninger Clinic Foundation allow us to train emerging mental health professionals, advance groundbreaking research and offer outreach services to underserved youth and adults.
You can show your support for Menninger by
