Menninger will offer a free webinar, A Review of Antidepressants for the Non-Psychiatrist, on January 30 at 12 pm CT that will provide an overview of antidepressants to psychologists, social workers, psychotherapists, licensed professional counselors, addictions professionals, psychiatric nurses, primary care providers, psychiatric PAs and CRNPs.

Psychologists and therapists regularly have longer term and more frequent contact with individuals being treated for depression, and, thus, often are made aware of medication issues before the prescriber. The goal of this webinar is to help non-psychiatrists understand when to start medications, which medications to use first, when to switch medications and when to augment medications.

Neil Puri, MD, medical director of the Center for Brain Stimulation and Menninger 360, will present the webinar. In addition to his roles at Menninger, he is an assistant professor in the Menninger Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences at Baylor College of Medicine.
