March 30 is National Doctors' Day, and Menninger is saluting psychiatrists and psychologists across the country who devote their expertise, as well as their compassion, to helping those with mental illness and addiction.

The Clinic has long been a training ground for such clinicians, and as a teaching hospital for Baylor College of Medicine, it will continue to contribute to the development of much needed experts in the field of mental health.

One former trainee, Kelly Truong, MD, is now an addictions psychiatrist at Menninger. As she says, "Charitable donations to the Menninger Annual Fund enabled my psychiatry residency and fellowship training at The Clinic before I officially joined the Menninger team. Thanks to donors’ generosity, I received a modest stipend during my training to help cover basic living expenses, allowing me to stay focused on my education while learning from Menninger’s world-class clinicians."
