Daugherty comes to Menninger from Sheppard Pratt Health System in Towson, Maryland, where he held a number of important positions. These included director of Residential Treatment Centers, director of the Berkeley and Eleanor Mann Residential Treatment Center and manager of a number of patient care units.

 

He also served as the Staffing manager, helping create the Central Staffing Office, and as the Transportation manager, helping create the Patient Transportation department.

 

Daugherty began his career at Sheppard Pratt as a charge nurse.

 

He served as vice-chair of the Residential Treatment Center Coalition for the State of Maryland and was a member of the Maryland Association of Resources for Families and Youth.

 

After earning a degree in Nursing from the Community College of Baltimore County, he earned a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Stevenson University. He followed that with a master's degree in Business and Technology Management, also from Stevenson University.
