Aloura Alcantar, LCSW

Aloura Alcantar, LCSW, is a staff clinician on Menninger's Adolescent Treatment Program.

 

She has experience working with adolescents as well as their parents, providing individual, family and group therapy. Alcantar also has received foundational training in dialectical behavorial therapy and has a special interest in using emotion-focused and attachment-based interventions while providing family therapy.

 

Alcantar earned a bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of California and a master's degree in Social Work from the University of Houston.

 

She says she proud to work at Menninger alongside her patients, and she is passionate about extending hope, accountability and support as the patient and family move into a place of long-term stabilization.
