Eating Disorders Program

The Eating Disorders Program addresses the needs of women and men 18 and older. It's common for patients to range from young adults to those individuals in their 50s who have had an eating disorder for years.

The program is designed for persons with severe anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, night eating and exercise disorders that may also be complicated by:

  • Depression or bipolar disorder
  • Anxiety disorder
  • Substance abuse
  • Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • Psychosis
  • Trauma
  • Mild to moderate obsessive-compulsive behavior (OCD) including body dysmorphic disorder (patients with severe obsessive-compulsive disorder may be treated in Menninger's OCD Treatment Program)

Patients in the program typically have:

  • Not responded well to previous treatment
  • Experienced eating disorders over a number of years
  • Difficulties from dual disorders
  • A desire for early intervention
