Introduction
Most of us know someone in our family or a friend who suffers the devastating effects of a mental illness. One in five American adults suffers from some form of psychiatric disorder. In addition, four of the 10 leading causes of disability are mental disorders.
There are more effective treatments for mental illness than ever before yet the stigma and ignorance of symptoms continues to prevent people from seeking treatment until the situation is critical and unmanageable.
Menninger needs your support to provide:
- The highest standard psychiatric and brain disorder treatment available.
- Cutting-edge research uniting the high technology of neuroimaging with Menninger's comprehensive behavioral science expertise.
- Training for the next generation of mental health leaders provided by world-renowned practicing clinicians.
- And hope for those who suffer with complex, multiple, long-standing, psychiatric, behavior and addictive disorders.
